"I went here on a recommendation from a friend awhile back and was not disappointed. If you like old school places good food and friendly people you will want to check this place out. I like going here when I gotta taste for seafood Sarah has always had great recommendations when I can't decide. !! Thank you Sarah !! Items to mention walleye bites, lake perch, hash browns, chili and of course a Bloody Mary are some of my favorites."

"The freshest fish in town, with local favorites like walleye and lake perch (it sells fast!) … and delicious steaks too. You’ll be lucky if the special of the day is Prime Rib. It’s worth every dollar. The real locals won’t tell you about this place, it’s more of a regular crowd showing here and much more of a place for a family style dinner. You seldom see young adults or children here, but it’s for the best of reasons as it’s more of a diners club than anything else."

"Food is excellent and you get a lot for the price. It looks like one of those dive bars or old restaurant, but don't let the looks deceive you. It worth the try!"

"I really enjoyed this little gem off Joliet Road in Hodgkins. I was pleasantly surprised by the food—it truly exceeded my expectations. We started with the Italian shrimp appetizer, which was delicious, paired with a classic old-fashioned. For my main course, I had the salmon with rice and a side of buttery sweet carrots. My husband ordered the steak with mushrooms and the same sweet carrot side. Everything was excellent! I highly recommend stopping by and trying the food. I can’t say enough about how pleasantly surprised we were. This place is definitely worth a visit!"

"It was like sitting in a Supper Club. We had great service by Sara with time to chat with her. My husband loved the ribs. He said the sauce had a hint of heat, making it really tasty. I loved the Rainbow Trout Almondine. The real deal! And each dinner came with fresh baked rolls, soup or salad, vegetables and potatoes or rice pilaf. Well worth giving it a visit."

"Thank you, nicole, for being an exceptional host. The food was absolutely delicious. We just were not too happy about the pork chops. The steak was incredible. And the soup was to die for"

"Great old school restaurant serving some awesome steaks, pastas, chicken limone, chicken piccata, seafood, prime rib, cheeseburgers, amongst other great American favorite dishes. The only issue is that they are not open every day, and they also have limited hours as well. When you walk into this place, you feel like you're stepping back into the 70's or early 80's, minus all of the cigarette smoke. The place is slightly dark and dated, with lots of old style Tiffany lamps and stained glass windows and a few slot machines by the bar area, so you can try your luck. The staff is friendly and they seem to know most of their clientele by first name. I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, great service and the awesome food. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu, also a juicy prime rib."
